Architecture is a subconscious experience. Texture, sound, light, and smell, but also scale and the curiosity that makes one want to experience more.

I’m inspired by the ability to curate lifestyles for others. When designing a home, I blend what my clients know about themselves with my experience as an architect–expanding the two for the very purpose of creating a positive mindset that allows its occupants to escape the weight of the real world.
I believe the most important part of designing a home is truly listening to clients. After spending time getting to know them, I challenge them to reenvision how they want to live. All clients are different and with that information I seek to find opportunities in design, such as where the sun will be and where the opportunities to steal light and a view exists.
When I designed my own home, I set out to break the barrier of shelter as it relates to the landscape around it–a practice I often incorporate into the designs of my clients’ homes.
After 35 years in the architectural world, I still feel as though I am just beginning, and my eyes and mind remain wide open. The best is yet to come!

That would be too many to list. I find inspiration across the history of architecture, from the classical architecture of Greece and Rome to the works of Frank Gehry.
The most important aspect of designing a home would be how we respond to the site. For instance, it’s important that we maximize good views and screen unfavorable views, and design around how the sun moves across the site so we can bring daylight into the home throughout the day.
The books I have kept over the years.
I've been on the Board of Directors in my association for 23 years, heading up planning and infrastructure.

My family. Everything I know about service and relationships with clients comes from my experience growing up and working hospitality with my family on a small island off the coast of Maine. My family instilled a pretty strong work ethic in me and my goal is to keep the office working properly so Chris, Danilo and Chris can focus on our clients' needs!
I understand and appreciate the personal relationship created during the process of designing homes for clients.
Organization - between my previous career in childcare and being a mom, my life has revolved around the best and most creative DIY toy storage ideas. I try to extend that organization in my own home.
